Child Safety Standards
IncogSnap has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE). Any content or behaviour that sexualizes, exploits or endangers children is strictly prohibited. We report it to the appropriate authorities and cooperate with law enforcement.
Our standards
- Sharing, requesting, producing, storing or promoting child sexual abuse material (CSAM), grooming or soliciting minors, and sexualizing minors in any way are prohibited. This is stated in our Terms of Service.
- IncogSnap is intended only for people aged 17 and over. It is not designed for children or younger teens, and people under 17 may not use it.
- We act on credible reports, cooperate with law enforcement and child-protection organisations, and comply with applicable child-safety laws, including mandatory reporting obligations, in the jurisdictions where we operate.
- We may restrict or end access to the service for anyone who violates these standards.
How IncogSnap is designed
- Not a random or anonymous chat app. IncogSnap does not match, suggest or introduce people to each other. There is no public directory, search, feed, public room or “meet someone new” feature.
- Invite-only rooms. Someone can enter a room only if the person who created it shares the private one-time 6-digit code, QR code or link with them. Codes expire automatically after 10 minutes if nobody joins.
- Terms against stranger contact. Our Terms require users to share codes only with people they know, and prohibit posting codes or links publicly to invite strangers.
- End-to-end encryption. Messages, photos and video travel directly between devices and are not stored on our servers. As a result we cannot view chat content, so we rely on reports from users to learn about abuse.
Report a concern
If you encounter or suspect child sexual abuse or exploitation involving IncogSnap, please tell us immediately:
- In the app: open Report a problem and describe what happened. The report includes details such as the time and room code so we can investigate.
- By email: write to contact@bzotech.com with the subject “CSAE report”, with the approximate date and time, the room code and anything else you can share from your own device.
- Immediate danger: if a child is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services first.
- External hotlines: you can also report to your national child-protection hotline, the Internet Watch Foundation, or in the United States the NCMEC CyberTipline.
Please do not forward or redistribute any abusive material, even to report it.
What we do with a report
We review each report, take action under our Terms, and where the law requires or allows we report suspected CSAE to the relevant authorities, such as NCMEC or local law enforcement, and preserve the information we hold that is relevant to the report.
