Account & Data Deletion
IncogSnap has no user accounts. You never create a profile, so there is no account to delete on our side. Below is what data exists and how each kind is removed.
What is deleted automatically
- Messages and photos — self-destruct after they’re viewed and are deleted from both devices when the chat ends. They are never stored on our servers.
- Room and connection data (in Firebase) — deleted immediately once the two phones are connected, or after 10 minutes if nobody joins.
- Temporary photo files — overwritten with zeros and deleted when you leave the screen or end the session.
Delete things yourself, right now
- End a chat: leave the room from the chat screen — everything in the room is deleted.
- Emergency wipe: use Panic Exit (Settings → Panic Exit) to immediately delete the room and all its data.
- Remove your Gemini API key and settings: these are stored only on your device. Clearing the app’s data or uninstalling the app removes them.
Android
Settings → Apps → IncogSnap → Storage → Clear data (removes all app data), or Uninstall.
iOS
Press and hold the IncogSnap icon → Remove App → Delete App. This removes the app and its data, including the encrypted API key stored by the app.
Reports you sent us
If you sent a report through Report a problem or by email, we keep it only as long as needed to investigate and meet our legal obligations. You can ask us to delete your report by emailing contact@bzotech.com, unless we are required to keep it (for example for a child-safety investigation).
Data held by Google services
If you used the optional Gemini AI feature, photos you enhanced were sent to Google’s Gemini API under your own key; manage that data through your Google account and its privacy controls. Google AdMob may hold advertising-related data associated with your device’s advertising ID; you can reset or delete your advertising ID in your device’s settings.
Questions or requests
If you’d like us to confirm what we hold about you, or you have a deletion or privacy request, email contact@bzotech.com. Because we don’t collect account information, we typically hold nothing that identifies you, and we will tell you so. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
